chiefwagonburner Part of an amusing email from my Dad about the large number of people celebrating that the Flames got to the Stanley Cup Finals (a big deal): One of the vehicles was a van with 2 Muslim women in it, fully covered with just the eyeballs showing, each one holding a LARGE Calgary Flames flag out each window, one driving, the other honking the horn. In the back were an indescribable number of kids hollering and waving their smaller flags. Now that is enculturation!
chiefwagonburner Well, I just disowned a discussion forum that I used to really, really like. The founder has been a friend of mine for close to 3 years. But the moderators have gone wacko. It's sad because there are still people posting there who are fantastic individuals. But I can't stay, and it's really disappointing. Anyway, Chief, I just read the Jon Stewart commencement speech on your blog, and it lifted my spirits. It was profound. So thanks for that!
